McLeod Ganj is a charming hill station located in the upper reaches of Dharamshala in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Located near Temple Road in upper Dharamshala, it serves as the official residence of the 14th Dalai Lama and the most important Tibetan Buddhist site in India outside Tibet. The Bhagsu Waterfall is one of the most popular natural attractions near McLeod Ganj. Located in the charming village of Bhagsu, about 2 km from the main square, it’s a perfect mix of spirituality, nature, and café culture. Right below the waterfall lies the historic Bhagsunath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, making the area both a scenic and religious destination.

Naddi is one of the most scenic sunset spots near McLeod Ganj. Located in the quiet village of Naddi, about 3–4 km from the main square, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the mighty Dhauladhar mountain range.

Triund is the most famous trek near McLeod Ganj and one of the easiest Himalayan treks for beginners. Situated at an altitude of around 2,850 meters (9,350 ft), it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Dhauladhar range on one side and the Kangra Valley on the other.
It’s often called the “Crown Jewel of Dharamshala”.
